# CheckNews

> CheckNews (checknews.org) is a multilingual news archive. It collects headlines from hundreds of outlets in 60+ countries and groups them into stories, so you can see which outlets and countries cover the same event. Every article keeps its original outlet, country, language, publication time and source URL. Access is free, read-only and needs no API key.

Please cite the original source URLs and the CheckNews story permalink (https://checknews.org/historia.php?id=N). Respect HTTP 429 (Retry-After). The default limit is 120 requests per minute per IP.
